In accordance with Article 7 (paragraph 6), Article 10, and Article 113 of the Law on National Minority Councils, and Articles 20 and 38 of the Statute of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority, on 22.11.2021 the Executive Council of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority opens:

C O M P E T I T I O N

For the financing – co-financing of projects of major importance for the Romanian national minority in 2021, in the field of information.

Based on the Financial Plan of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority, the Council will finance – co-finance projects and programs totaling 1,200,000.00 dinars for the following areas in the media sector:

• Magazines and newspapers in the Romanian language.
• Web portals that provide information on activities relevant to the Romanian minority/community.

General Criteria for Participation:

The right to participate is exclusively granted to legal entities, associations, foundations, and other registered organizations, excluding legal entities founded by the Republic of Serbia, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, local self-governments, or the National Council of the Romanian National Minority.

Criteria for awarding financial resources are:

• Compliance of the project/program with all competition requirements and documentation.
• The project/program must belong to the information sector of the Romanian national minority.

Applicants must submit a short report on their activities, not exceeding one A4 page.

The funding application must be submitted using a special form, which is an integral part of the competition documentation and can be found on the website www.cnmnr.org.rs or at the office of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority, Vaska Pope St. 16, 26300 Vršac.

Mandatory Documents:

• Copy of the applicant's registration with the competent authority, including a description and code of the activity for which the applicant is registered.
• General information about the applicant.
• A detailed description of the project/program and a detailed financial plan – description, methods, activity plan, target beneficiaries, project/program duration, etc. (max. 2 pages; printed material examples can be attached).

The deadline for submitting the funding application is 30.11.2021.

Submitted documentation will not be returned.

Applications submitted after the deadline, incomplete, or with incomplete documentation, sent by fax or email, unsigned or unchecked, as well as applications from beneficiaries who previously received CNMNR funding but did not submit a report on project implementation, will not be considered.

In accordance with Article 45 of the Statute of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority, the Information Department will submit proposals for fund allocation to the Executive Council.

The Executive Council will adopt the fund allocation decision within 8 days of receiving the proposal from the Information Department. The final allocation decision will be approved at the next meeting of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority.

Based on the allocation decision, the President of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority will conclude a contract with the fund beneficiary, specifying the rights and obligations of both parties and ensuring the transfer of allocated funds.
