Welcome to the National Council of the Romanian National Minority!
We are the representative body of our minority and aim to promote and protect the collective rights of our community in various areas such as education, culture, public information, and the official use of language and writing.
By law, we are entrusted with important public responsibilities, such as participating in the decision-making process and exercising autonomy regarding certain issues related to education, culture, public information, and official language use. Our goal is to exercise these collective rights for the benefit of the Romanian national minority.

Dr. Valentin Ardelean - President
Dr. Valentin Ardelean, born in 1969 in Nicolinț, where he spent his childhood. He attended elementary school in Romanian and then completed the Secondary School of Economics and Trade in Alibunar, also in Romanian. During this time, he was an active member of the local folklore and theater groups in Nicolinț.
After finishing secondary school, he enrolled at the Faculty of Dentistry in Timișoara, studying from 1991 to 1997. In 1998, he began his internship as a dentist at the Health Center in Alibunar, which lasted one year. Having left a good impression, he later became a full-time dentist at the same institution.
He participated in the activities of the Trade Union Organization of the Alibunar Health Center. Trusted by his colleagues, he was appointed its president, holding the position for five years. In 2012, he was promoted to head of the dental service and vice-president of the Board of Directors, remaining in this role for nine years until September 2, 2021, when he was appointed interim director of the Health Center in Alibunar. During this period, he successfully equipped the center with necessary medical equipment, including a digital X-ray machine, through national projects.
Since the end of 2022, as a member of the electoral list "Romanians Together – for a Secure Future!", following the meeting on December 17, 2022, at the "Casa Butoarcă" in Vršac, he was elected President of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority in Serbia. Dr. Valentin Ardelean contributes to projects of major importance for the well-being of Romanians in Serbia.
