In accordance with Article 7, paragraph 6, Article 10, and Article 113 of the Law on National Minority Councils, and Articles 20 and 38 of the Statute of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority, on 04.07.2022, the Executive Council of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority opens:
C O M P E T I T I O N
For the financing – co-financing of projects of major importance for the Romanian national minority in 2022, in the field of information.
Based on the Financial Plan of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority, the CNMNR will finance – co-finance projects and programs with a total value of 1,200,000.00 dinars for the following mass-media areas:
- Romanian-language magazines and newspapers.
- Web portals providing information about relevant activities for the Romanian minority/community.
- Publishing books in the Romanian language.
- 2022 Census activities.
- Editorial equipment.
General Criteria for Participation:
The right to participate is granted exclusively to legal entities, associations, foundations, and other organizations registered in the corresponding registry, excluding legal entities founded by the Republic of Serbia, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, local self-governments, or the CNMNR.
The criteria for awarding financial resources are:
- The project/program complies with all competition requirements and documentation.
- The project/program is in the field of information for the Romanian national minority.
Applicants must submit a brief report on their activities, no longer than one A4 page.
The funding application must be submitted using a special form, which is an integral part of the competition documentation and can be found on the CNMNR website www.cnmnr.org.rs or at the CNMNR office, Vaska Pope St. 16, 26300 Vršac.
In addition to the application, the following documents must be submitted:
- A copy of the applicant's registration with the competent authority, including a description and code of the activity for which the applicant is registered.
- General information about the applicant.
- A detailed description of the project/program and the detailed financial structure – description, implementation method, plan and types of activities, targeted beneficiaries, project/program duration, etc. (max. 2 pages; previous printed material can also be submitted as examples).
The deadline for submitting funding applications is 20.07.2022.

Submitted documentation will not be returned.
Applications submitted after the deadline, incomplete documentation, submissions via fax or email, unsigned or unverified applications, as well as applications from beneficiaries who previously received CNMNR funding and did not submit a report on its use, will not be considered.
In accordance with Article 45 of the CNMNR Statute, the Information Department submits funding allocation proposals to the Executive Council. The Executive Council adopts a decision on the allocation of funds determined by the competition within 8 days of receiving the proposal from the Information Department. The allocation decision is subject to approval at the next CNMNR meeting.
Based on the allocation decision, the CNMNR President signs a contract with the funding beneficiary, which regulates the mutual rights and obligations, followed by the disbursement of the allocated funds.
