National Council of the Romanian National Minority

In accordance with Article 7, paragraph 6, Articles 10 and 13, paragraph 2, point 1 of the Law on National Minority Councils, as well as Articles 20 and 38 of the CNMNR Statute, on 07.03.2023 the Executive Council of CNMNR publishes the following:

C O M P E T I T I O N

For the financing – co-financing of programs and projects of major importance for the Romanian national minority in the field of culture.

CNMNR will finance – co-finance projects and programs based on the CNMNR Financial Plan in the field of culture, with a total amount of 1,500,000.00 dinars, for the following areas:

• Regular cultural activities that are important for the Romanian national minority.

General Conditions for Participation:

Only cultural associations and other legal entities organizing events of special interest to the Romanian minority are eligible to participate.

Criteria for Granting Financial Support:

• The degree of compatibility of the program/project with the competition requirements and documentation;
• The project/program must serve the general interest of the Romanian national minority in the field of culture;
• The applicant must have submitted the report on the use of funds obtained from CNMNR for 2022;
• First-time applicants must provide a brief report on previous activities (performances, etc.), maximum one A4 page;
• Activities already funded from other sources will not be financed.

The application must be submitted using the special form accompanying this competition, available on the CNMNR website www.cnmnr.org.rs or at the CNMNR office, Vaska Pope St. 16, 26300 Vršac.

Mandatory Documents:

• Copy of the applicant’s registration at the competent authority, with a description of the activity domain;
• General information about the beneficiary;
• Detailed description of the program/project and detailed financial plan (max 2 pages); printed materials, audio-video, or other relevant documents may be attached;
• Report on the use of funds obtained from CNMNR in 2022, if not previously justified;

The deadline for submitting applications is 18.03.2023.

Submitted documentation will not be returned. Applications submitted after the deadline, incomplete, non-compliant, sent by email or fax, unsigned or unstamped, as well as applications from beneficiaries who have not justified previous funding, will not be evaluated.

According to Article 45 of the CNMNR Statute, the Department for Culture will submit proposals for financial allocation to the Executive Council. The Executive Council adopts the decision within 8 days of receiving the proposal. The final decision is adopted at the next CNMNR session.

Based on the CNMNR decision, the CNMNR President signs a contract with the beneficiary, stipulating the rights and obligations of the parties, followed by the transfer of the allocated funds.
