National Council of the Romanian National Minority

In accordance with Article 7, paragraph 6, Articles 10 and 113 of the Law on National Minority Councils, and Articles 20 and 38 of the Statute of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority, on 11.04.2023 the Executive Council of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority publishes the following:

C O M P E T I T I O N

For the financing – co-financing of major importance projects for the Romanian national minority in 2023, in the field of information.

Based on the CNMNR Financial Plan, the National Council of the Romanian National Minority will finance – co-finance projects and programs in the amount of 1,000,000.00 dinars for the following media-related areas:

• Magazines and newspapers in the Romanian language.
• Web portals and electronic media content providing information relevant to the Romanian minority/community.
• Book publishing in the Romanian language.
• Equipping editorial offices.

General Criteria for Participation:

Only legal entities, associations, foundations, and other registered organizations are eligible to participate.

Criteria for Granting Financial Support:

• The project/program must comply with all competition requirements and documentation.
• The project/program must be within the field of information for the Romanian national minority.

Applicants must provide a brief report on their previous activities, maximum one A4 page.

The funding application must be submitted using the special form included in the competition documentation, available on the CNMNR website www.cnmnr.org.rs or at the CNMNR office, Vaska Pope St. 16, 26300 Vršac.

Mandatory Documents:

• Copy of the applicant’s registration at the competent authority, including the description and code of the activity for which the beneficiary is registered;
• General information about the applicant;
• Detailed description of the project/program and detailed financial plan – description, method and manner of implementation, plan and types of activities, project beneficiaries, project timeline, etc. (maximum 2 pages; previously printed materials may be attached).

The deadline for submitting funding applications is 28.04.2023.

Submitted documentation will not be returned. Applications submitted after the deadline, incomplete, non-compliant, sent via fax or email, unsigned or unstamped, as well as applications from beneficiaries who have not justified previous funding, will not be considered.

In accordance with Article 45 of the CNMNR Statute, the Information Department will submit proposals for fund allocation to the Executive Council. The Executive Council will adopt the allocation decision within 8 days of receiving the proposal. The final decision will be approved at the next CNMNR session.

Based on the allocation decision, the CNMNR President signs a contract with the fund beneficiary, stipulating the rights and obligations of the parties, followed by disbursement of the allocated funds.
