National Council of the Romanian National Minority

In accordance with Articles 7, paragraphs 6, 10, and 113, paragraph 2, point 1 of the Law on National Minority Councils as well as Articles 20 and 38 of the CNMNR Statute, the Executive Council of CNMNR on 11.04.2023 publishes the following:

C O M P E T I T I O N

For the financing – co-financing of programs and projects of major importance for the Romanian national minority in the field of culture.

CNMNR will finance – co-finance projects and programs based on the CNMNR Financial Plan in the field of culture, with a total value of 100,000.00 dinars, for the following areas:

• Organization of the Romanian Theatre Days in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina – Republic of Serbia.

General Conditions of the Competition:

The right to participate in the competition is exclusively granted to cultural associations and other legal entities that organize cultural events of special interest for the Romanian minority.

Criteria for Granting Financial Support:

• Degree of compatibility of the program/project with the competition requirements and documentation;
• The applicant has submitted the report regarding the use of funds obtained from CNMNR for the year 2022;
• First-time applicants must submit a short report on previous activities (performances, etc.), maximum one A4 page;
• Activities already funded from other sources will not be financed.

The competition application must be submitted using the special form accompanying this competition, available on the CNMNR website www.cnmnr.org.rs or at the CNMNR headquarters, Vaska Pope St. 16, 26300 Vršac.

Mandatory Documents:

• Copy of the registration decision of the applicant at the competent institution, with a description of the field of activity;
• General information regarding the beneficiary;
• Detailed description of the program/project and detailed financial plan (max. 2 pages); printed materials, audio-video, or other relevant documents may be attached;
• Report regarding the expenditure of funds obtained from CNMNR in 2022, if not previously justified;

The deadline for submitting applications is 18.04.2023.

Submitted documentation will not be returned. Applications submitted after the deadline, incomplete, or non-compliant with competition requirements, sent by email or fax, unsigned, or unstamped, as well as applications from entities that have not justified previously obtained financial support, will not be evaluated.

In accordance with Article 45 of the CNMNR Statute, the Department of Culture will submit proposals for fund allocation to the Executive Council. The Executive Council adopts the decision within 8 days of receiving the proposal. The final decision is adopted at the next CNMNR meeting.

Based on the CNMNR decision, the President of CNMNR signs a contract with the beneficiary, stipulating the rights and obligations of the parties, followed by the transfer of the granted funds.
