“First of all, I would like to thank my colleagues from the Romanian List who supported me during this time and voted for me to serve as President of the Romanian National Council. I would also like to express my gratitude to all Romanians from these regions who supported our list and showed firm determination in doing so. We are aware that we have taken on a great responsibility, and we must not disappoint them. We must be a National Council open to all Romanians across the entire territory. We must also pay attention to the needs of Romanians living south of the Danube and support all organizations with a Romanian profile, with the goal of preserving the Romanian national identity. What we will inherit from the Hungarian Council will indeed be a significant responsibility, but we will form our teams and departments where our activities will be carried out. We believe that the Romanian List has the capacity to meet all challenges. Furthermore, we remain open to all Council members from other lists. If they wish to take part in our work and build a stronger team to serve the interests of our minority together, we are open to such cooperation.”
