Recently, the residents of Uzdin enjoyed an extraordinary concert performed by the C.N.M.N.R.S Orchestra in collaboration with C.C. „Doina” from Uzdin and B.O.R. „Saint George” from Uzdin. Guests and villagers also had the opportunity to admire the treasure of traditional costumes, handicrafts, and textiles at an exhibition organized by A.F. „Bunicuțele”. After many years, the well-known local performers Jaclin Puia and Costela Iorga pleasantly surprised the audience on stage.
The concert opened with a suite of Banat melodies performed by the C.N.M.N.R.S Orchestra, conducted by Alexandru Frianț and arranged by Janiel Șublea. Guests and the audience were welcomed by the director of C.C. „Doina”, Katarina K. Ecovoiu R., Vice President of the Municipality of Kovacița Petar Višnjički, President of C.N.M.N.R.S Daniel Magdu, and Trăian Căcina, a member of the Executive Council of Vârșeț responsible for culture.
“It is very important to preserve tradition and culture, the customs of our ancestors,” emphasized Katarina K. Ecovoiu R.
Director Katarina addressed the audience on behalf of the B.O.R. and C.C. „Doina” activists:
“We were with you with the intention of offering beautiful and unforgettable moments.
Clearly, we live in more modern times, leisure is a luxury, driven by our increasing demands.
As my dear grandmother used to say, ‘the clocks go much faster now than when she was young.’
With a little effort, we can accomplish everything, gather for rehearsals, and not forget
how positive the energy is in an ensemble when we perform as one. In culture, many people
contribute to creating a whole. The audience helps us maintain culture in the village.
I would like to thank all the activists, amateurs, and the orchestra. It was an exceptional
performance, full of emotion.”
As Vice President of the Municipality of Kovacița, Petar Višnjički, stated, it is a great pleasure to be in Uzdin, and he greeted the friends from C.N.M.N.R.S., who are always present at every event. He praised the cultural level in Uzdin, mentioning that the village is the best-known in Vojvodina when it comes to culture, and it is recognized beyond the borders.
