In the picturesque village of Mesici, the Women’s Association “La gură de ogășel” brought the spirit of autumn to life with an event entitled “The Ancestral Wealth”, now in its second edition. Women’s associations from neighboring towns, such as Vârșeț, Uljma, Gudurica, and others, gathered in a festive setting, enlivened by the musical notes of the orchestra “Turturica.”
The Elementary School “Olga Petrov-Radišić” in Mesici contributed with a recital performed by students under the careful supervision of their teacher, held in the courtyard of the Cultural Center. The atmosphere was further enriched by a traditional circle dance (hora) and a feast featuring boiled beans, which all participants were invited to enjoy.
Representing the town of Vârșeț, the event had the honor of hosting Slaviša Maksimović, Rural Development Officer, Dr. Traian Căcina, Cultural Officer and Vice President of CNMNR, and Marian Mohan, CNMNR Secretary. This gathering highlighted the value and importance of traditions and community life in rural areas.
